Blessed With Rest

This is the day the Lord has made,
He made it just for me.
For it contains all that I need
To be still gratefully.
 
No place to go, no chores undone,
Nobody dropping by.
Just Him and me, a cup of tea,
And a thunderstorm sky.
 
The lullaby of rumbling clouds,
Leftovers warming up.
His Word reminds me that my life’s
An overflowing cup.
 
Tomorrow will be busier,
This week holds a fast pace,
But for today I can be still
And rest within His grace.
