You cannot claim the grace of God
And then deny His word.
There’s no relief from sin for those
Still sinning undeterred.
You cannot walk salvation’s path,
Dragging your sin behind.
The deeds you do, the words you speak
Reflect your heart and mind.
Of Christ’s pure sacrifice,
Then you, too, must follow closely
The one who paid that price.
And guard your words, your heart.
For from dead branches no fruit grows,
As from a sin filled heart.
Matthew 12:33 & 37
“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make
the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit. … for by your words you will be justified, and
by your words you will be condemned.”
