I lift my songs of praise and joy

To heaven’s perfect king.

For He has shown to me the grace

That gives me cause to sing.

 

I lift my songs up and rejoice,

For I am born anew.

No longer lost in the darkness,

His Light has led me through.

 

Oh sing, my soul, without ceasing.

‘Til earth echoes your song

And heaven answers, praise for praise,

As it, too, sings along!
