This Day's Peace

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I give You thanks for this day’s peace.

Though chores took half the day,

I have the time I need tonight

To hear Your voice and pray.

 

I hear You in the singing birds,

The waves across the bay.

Your voice whispers within the breeze,

I hear each word You say.

 

The last few days I couldn’t hear

Over my own dismay,

But You helped me to find the peace

That I’d let slip away.

 

Now, as I sit within that peace,

I let Your words hold sway

And I am grateful for the chance

To be with You and pray.

Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
