Thy Will Be Done

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lord, help me to walk in Your will

With joy and gratitude.

Too often I demand my way,

And give no latitude.

 

But all that has been a blessing

In my life, through the years,

Has come by following Your path,

And not my sweat and tears.

 

As heaven rejoices to serve,

That Your will may be done,

I, too, seek to live my life with

Your will and mine as one.

 

I know that I am not there yet,

But my heart’s set on You,

Lord, teach me to live in Your will,

Rejoicing as I do!

Your mercy is not coy.

You lead me, blameless, to the throne,

Praising Him in my joy.

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy,

With grateful heart I praise the name

Of Him whose child I am.

He is my Savior, my shepherd,

And I’m His grateful lamb.

 

I offer up my gratitude,

In awe I sing His praise.

His kingdom is unshakable,

And wondrous are His ways.

 

I am the lost sheep that He found,

He rescued me from death,

And I will praise Him all my days

With heart and soul and breath!
