Heed the Redeemer, Not the Accuser

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The accuser will speak to you

Of sins you left behind.

He wants you to believe the lie

That he plants in your mind.

 

The lie that God despises you

For all the wrong you’ve done,

When He Himself redeemed those sins.

That battle has been won.

 

Do not be led into despair

By one cast out and banned,

But seek instead the voice of Him

Who holds you in His hand.

 

It is His word that you should heed,

His mercy you should claim.

For He it is who redeemed you

And shields you in His name.

 

Colossians 2:14-15

by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.
