Give Me Understanding

 

I want to do as You have asked.

Though I don’t understand,

I want to act, with all my heart,

To follow Your command.

I often ask to understand,

Yet what I mean to say

Is not, “Why do You ask me this?”,

But, “Is this the right way?”

I’ll go where You call me to go,

And do as You ask me,

All I ask is please, set my sails,

So I know where to be!

Psalm 119:34

Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart.
