With Faith and Fear

He bade us teach the little ones

To walk within His Word,
To tell them of the miracles
That we have seen and heard.
 
And so we tell, with humble hearts,
The stories of His Grace.
We speak of scars and of healing.
Things simple on their face,
 
Yet they were not so easy then,
And harder looking back.
We teach them how to be content
In plenty and in lack,
 
And how to walk in faithfulness
Though the path is uphill
Because we want to live our lives
Within His perfect will.
 
We learn and then we’re called to teach,
And hope the young will hear,
Though youth is willful til they, too,
Have lived with faith and fear.
 
1 Samuel 12:24  
But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.
