Being Sick

I’m feeling pitiful tonight,

I just want it to stop.
Although I fear my self-pity
Might be over the top.
 
I haven’t been sick for a while,
In fact, for several years,
So right now I feel like I am
Stuck on the verge of tears.
 
I know that this, too, will pass, Lord.
And, melodrama much?
But if You don’t mind, while I’m sick,
Can we stay in close touch?
