Wait Expectantly

I lifted my prayer up at dawn,

At the start of the day,
Knowing that You will listen, Lord,
If I make time to pray.
 
And I will take the time today
To stop and listen, too.
For, as I want You to hear me,
I want, Lord, to hear You.
 
So I will pray in confidence
That You will speak to me.
I’ll listen, in the quiet dawn,
And wait, expectantly.

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
