I'd Not Forgotten

Did you think that I’d forgotten,

That I might miss this praise?
Well, so did I because it’s been
Just one of those mad days.
 
But here I am, with verse in hand,
To Thank God for His Grace
Without which I’d not have had this
Verse settled into place.
 
But God watched over me today,
He helped me to get through
All of the muddles of the day
That I’d gotten into.
 
So I could not miss out today
On lifting up my praise.
They seem to mean much more to me
On crazy, chaos days!
