You Have To Listen To Hear

We move so fast, buzzing about,

Throughout each busy day
That we don’t seem to hear from God,
Despite the fact we pray.
 
However, that is not because
God won’t take time to speak,
Instead it tends to be because
We don’t hear, we just seek.
 
We need to stop buzzing so loud
And hurrying around.
We ought to take time to be still
Enough to hear the sound
 
Of God’s voice when He speaks to us
His whispered words of Grace.
I’ve found I only hear His voice
When I’m still in one place.
