I used to wish for many things,
But now I simply pray,“Thank You, Lord, for keeping me
Upon Your path today.
For I have got a wayward heart
That’s prone to go astray.”
And Thanks for being patient, Lord,
When I don’t ask You first,
But then expect Your helping hand
When things go bad to worst.
And lastly, Lord, I want to say
How blessed I am by You,
For I don’t need to make a wish
To have my dreams come true.”
