Prayer and Repentance

I often look into myself

In hopes of seeing You,
But all my worst iniquities
Seem to obscure my view.
 
I know that You are in there, Lord,
I glimpse you now and then.
I hope that I’ll see more of You,
But I am not sure when.

I try to live as You’ve taught me,

But I fall short each day.
That’s why I seek Your pardon, Lord,
And bow my head to pray.
 
Acts 8:21-23
Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.
