Wings Like Eagles

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh Lord, I love the thought of wings

And soaring by Your might,

But even more I love the thought

Of living in Your Light.

 

Of walking faithfully with You,

And standing on the Word.

Lord, let me serve You while I wait

To soar like that great bird!

 

Isaiah 40:31

but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

 

Hold On and Pray

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some days the best that I can do

Is just hold on and pray.

Today certainly proved itself

To be that kind of day.

 

I found myself holding on tight

More than a time or two,

And gratefully lifting up praise

For my refuge in You.

 

Tomorrow may be just as tough.

But I know that, at length,

If I hold on to You and pray,

Then I’ll find enough strength!

 

Psalm 46:1

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

I Love You So

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I love You, Lord. That’s all there is,

All that I have to say.

Except for thank You for the grace

With which You filled my day.

 

The friend or two, and family

Who called to chat with me,

And all the rest of the whole world

Who simply let me be.

 

The rain that fell on the dry earth…

After my chores were done,

And all the songs the breezes sang,

The cloud breaks and the sun.

 

You always know just what I need,

Even when I don’t know.

You love me well beyond my due.

Dear Lord, I love You so!
