The I AMs: I Am the Light of the World

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The path I’ve walked was never smooth,
I’ve wept many a tear,
But, even in my darkest days,
Your Light was always near.
 
I stumbled often as I walked,
The way was grim and bleak.
Yet, Your Light never failed to shine
Upon the path I seek.
 
Oh Lord, I love to see sun
Rise up, banners unfurled,
Yet, it’s but shadow compared to
The true Light of the World!
 
You are the Light of creation,
And that of rebirth, too.
I know that I will not be lost
With my eyes fixed on You.
 
In faith I walk on through this life,
Into the coming night,
But I do not fear what’s to come,
For I walk in Your Light!
 
John 8:1
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

The I AMs: I Am the Bread of Life

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Give me this day my daily bread,

I pray with true intent.

Yet, it is not the fields of grain

That leaves my soul content.

 

I hunger for a richer bread,

One wheat cannot replace.

My body may crave sustenance,

But my soul needs His Grace.

 

I seek the Bread of Life each day,

That Bread which makes me whole

And satisfies my true hunger,

The Bread that feeds my soul.

 

John 6:35

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

The I AMs: The Original I Am

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am who I am, said the Lord,

I’m who I’ll always be.

You were formed by my command,

And you were made for me.

 

These are the truths that give me hope,

The love that gives me strength,

And faith to walk the darkened road

Into His Light, at length.

 

I am not yet who I should be,

Though I grow every day.

Yet, He who formed me does not change,

And His love will not stray.

 

I cling to Him and to His Word,

The first, the Last, Always.

He loves me and redeemed my soul,

To Him I lift all praise.

 

I am who I am, said the Lord,

I’m who I’ll always be.

You were formed by my command,

And you were made for me.

 

Exodus 3:14

God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”

 

Colossians 1:16

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

Lean on each other in this life,

Comfort and offer grace.

When trouble falls on your brother,

Let your strength take its place.

 

Lean on each other in this life,

Let His peace flow from you.

That, when the storms come crashing in,

Together you’ll pull through.

 

Lean on each other in this life,

Rejoice and lift up praise

For He who called You to His side

Is there by you always.

 

2 Corinthians 13:11

Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
