The little moments of sorrow
Mingle with those of joy,
As memories of yesterday
Bubble up and aren’t coy,
Planted there years ago,
And still blooming with such delight.
There’s joy watching them grow.
My mother kept them strong.
I’ve lost them both to heaven’s realm,
But the rose blooms along.
Is that, though we are gone,
The blessings that we leave behind
Can thrive and carry on.
To those you meet each day.
Those blessings He first gave to you,
Share with those on your way.
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for
such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who
waters will himself be watered.
