Psalm 127:1

 

Psalm 127:1

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.

We build our world around our plans,

But mortal plans are frail.

Unless we build our plans in Him,

Those plans will, at length, fail.

For it is not the word of man,

That set the stars in place,

Nor can we know tomorrow’s dawn

Before we see its face.

But in the hand that formed the world

Our plans are safely made,

And we can build our house with faith

In the plans God has laid!
