Today, as I was watering,
A busy little beeWas buzzing in those very blooms,
Yet it did not see me.
By accident I could have sent
It spinning to the ground,
But I stopped watering the plant
And let it get around.
How like the Lord’s view of our lives,
For I was standing there,
But that bee never saw a thing
As it flew through the air.
I came to see a simple truth,
We are that busy bee,
For even with God at our side
We never seem to see.
Nor do we know how easily
We could be made to fall,
If He were not there watching us,
To help us through it all.
Though He is too large for my sight,
I’ll listen as I pray;
Perhaps I’ll hear God keeping harm
From touching me today.
