Light My Path

You are the light upon my path

In You I find the way
To rise and be a better me
Than I was yesterday.
 
I know I said that more than once,
And meant it every day.
Yet, when each day came to an end,
It seems I’d gone astray.
 
Yet every new dawn I still rise
And, in faith, pause to pray
That once again You’ll be my lamp
And light, for me, the way.
