Day of Rest

After the labors of the week

I took a day to rest.
It might not have been perfect, Lord,
But it was still the best.
 
I laid around while others worked,
Okay my work was done,
But I was so exhausted that
Not working was such fun.
 
I know we need a day of rest
And one day just for You.
I’m grateful that I had the time
For You and some rest, too.
