Watching Daily

I hear You’ve asked we be on watch,

Lord, I will watch for You.
Knowing that You will come for me,
That’s the least I can do.
 
I get the feeling, now and then,
That You’re just out of sight,
So I watch even closer, lest
You come by dark of night.
 
And while I’m watching, waiting, Lord,
I listen for Your voice.
For either way, I’ll know You’ve come
And my heart will rejoice.
