Turn Away

When others turn and walk away

I’ll keep my eyes on You,
Though some have said that things have changed,
The truth still remains true.
 
Although they bid me come along,
I will not turn away.
I’ll keep my eyes on You alone,
And near You, Lord, I’ll stay.
 
So, though the world may call to me
And I might long to go,
I will not turn away from You,
For that path leads to woe.
 
2 Timothy 4:3-4 
For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
