The rain is falling ceaselessly
I’d hoped it would be gone,But since this is still winter time
The rain goes on and on.
The seasons are always the same
They come and then they go.
But while they’re here they can drag on.
At least it seems that’s so.
Such are the seasons of our lives
They come and then pass by,
Though some can seem to linger on
So long we need to cry.
But hold to faith, for seasons pass
And so do troubled days.
Soon both winter and our troubles
Give way to joyful praise!
