It never was quite like the rest,
But still, however bent,The little tree stood proudly there
For it was heaven sent.
Though its life was more difficult
Than those who shared its wood,
Still it rose upward to the sky
Doing the best it could.
And from its faithful diligence
I’ve learned what I should know,
I dwell, not on what holds me back,
But what helps me to grow!
