Rejoice at My Parting

Do not weep upon my parting,

For, though I’m gone from earth,
Rejoice that I am reveling
In heavenly rebirth.
 
Celebrate and dance with singing,
Lift high your joyful praise,
For I am gone through heaven’s gates
And into better days.
 
Let there be laughter and no tears,
May joy touch every face,
For I’ll be dancing in His garden,
Gazing upon God’s face.
 
So do not weep when I am gone,
Sing songs of thankful joy,
And praise Him who, through sacrifice,
Gives life death can’t destroy.
