When I feel overwhelmed and lost,

Consumed by my despair
I want to give up every hope
Of living through my care.
 
But I know that, however large,
My troubles seem to be.        
They cannot stand against the force
Of God’s fierce love for me.
 
He shaped the stars and formed the earth
Then set them on their path.
How minor by comparison
Is mortal pain or wrath.
 
So I will give my fears and woes
To Him who word is life,
And I will carry on in faith
Unfazed by pain or strife.
