In a darkening, gloomy world,
Where light is hard to find,
There are always those precious rays,
The cheery, hopeful kind.
The kind that lift a weary heart,
Or dry a pain filled tear.
The kind that always make you smile
Whenever they are near.
I find I look for those bright rays,
I’m draw to their warm light
Just like a moth to cheery flame,
But I think that’s alright.
For in their light new dreams can bloom
And in their warmth hopes grow.
The richest laughter springs to life
Within their loving glow.
1 John 4:11
Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
