The obstacles are great,

There’s no way to get through it fast.

You’re lucky if you’re late.

When all the obstacles mount up

It’s so hard to recall

The reason you keep pushing on.

The meaning of it all.

But don’t get lost in all the mess,

The chaos and delay.

Keep focusing on where you’re bound

And just keep underway.

Don’t let delays and obstacles

Deter you from your plan,

Just take a breath, look down the road

And do all that you can.

The road is not your problem, nor

Are the impediments.

The only thing you must confront

Are your own sentiments.

So face the difficulties with

A calm and hopeful grace,

Keep focusing on where you’re bound

And mark a steady pace.
