Thanksgiving

Thank you for the morning sun

That melted winter’s snow;

Thank you for the cheery fire,

The burning ember’s glow.

Thank you for all the laughter,

The family and the fun;

Thank you for the peaceful night

When all the work is done.

Thank you for the ones we love

Who’ve gone where we can’t go;

Legacies of love remain

Where generations grow.

Thank you for the friends who serve

And stand against the dark,

Those who fight and those who fell

Preserving freedom’s spark.

Thank you, Lord, for all your grace

And all you’ve seen me through;

Thank you for your boundless love.
